When Hurricane Helene swept through, it left behind more than just physical damage.

Those in its path deeply felt the emotional toll, inspiring artist Kira Bursky to create a poignant collection of 31 illustrations titled “Hurricane Helene”. This series offers a raw and heartfelt glimpse into the emotions experienced by those affected, providing a space for reflection, processing, and healing.

Kira shares her thoughts about the collection:

“After Hurricane Helene came through my town, I drew to process my feelings. The 31 drawings were created once a day during October. These drawings are dedicated to all those affected by Hurricane Helene and those who have gone through other experiences that have shaken up the world they know. I am inspired by art’s power to give us space to process, reflect, and heal. Thank you for taking the time to sit with these artworks.”

Additionally, 20% of profits from the sales of this collection will be donated to Hurricane Helene relief efforts, providing much-needed support to those still recovering from its impact.
